Interactive events for young people’s services
We organise interactive workshops and events, organised for your authority, organisation, partnership or programme by accessing a diverse range of creative arts, culture or heritage inputs. Our model is now to do this through supporting your existing networks, groups, carers, schools and projects to work towards one or more main events, and to help you create legacy. KSL has partnered with innovative people and groups to engage young people, families and carers, to showcase, perform and celebrate achievement.
Our awards-based events, are designed in a (semi or fully) structured and enjoyable way to enhance young people’s their mental and physical health and wellbeing, by helping them build and reinforce confidence, openness, resilience and stability. If they are in care, this is a powerful way for councils to publicly emphasise their role as corporate parents. We can work with the charity Shaftesbury Young People to provide us with the advice and support of their care leavers for events.
KSL young people’s celebrations may be a way to motivate those on the edge of systems – council care, criminal justice, mental health, etc, or those who may be socially excluded – ‘not in employment, education or training’. Our events serve as a focal point for engaging, channeling and sustaining the energies of young people and their parents/families/carers, to better take care of their mental and physical health and achieve more.
impact

Personal and social impact of such projects has been evidenced by the research of Matarasso.
Our projects document their outcomes, e.g. by using an Outcomes Star. We can estimate the value of their impact compared to their cost and/or provide other evidence e.g.:
- Photographs of participation
- Activity-based statistics
- Website/blog hits
